Charting has always felt like something out of reach for independent artists. I know that having songs officially registered is a key step, but I’ve never been clear on how it works. Some people say you need a distributor, others mention that certain organizations handle chart registration. If getting into the charts worldwide really is possible, I’d like to understand what’s actually required. Has anyone here tried it and seen results on charts outside their home country?

From what I’ve seen, getting onto international charts isn’t just about luck. It’s about making sure the technical requirements are covered first. If songs aren’t properly registered, streams and plays don’t get tracked officially. Once that part is sorted, it comes down to how strong the song is and whether it gains traction with listeners and stations.
